To call the gods “minds” in an attempt to bring them to the level of humans is a service to no-one. Should the ants refer to humans as anything less than inconceivable masters simply because they’re both flesh?

On the Fates and Astrology

The Fates are the bureaucrats of the gods, tasked with maintaining some order in the living among creation. They are not themselves full gods or minds, but rather something like the angels of the gods – they are semi-attached vesicles of Epid-Mehr, and as such they are not completely self-aware or personalized – they [...]
On Guardian Angels

Angels, as you know, are not mentalities of their own, but are semi-independant aspects of the mind they serve. The longer they remain distinct from their parent mind, the more likely they are to become truly independant (like Michael and Gabriel of Adam, or Raphael of Patar-Ori), but they will always be reflections of [...]
Tuk fishes for Lil

When Tuk goes back to save Ohida from Lil, he does so as the worm on the hook. Keeping in mind this concept, Tuk has consumed a tendril of Patchuzu (Baod’s general turned totem god of destruction and nihilism), who since Lil’s treachery has desired her demise above all things. When Lil in turns consumes [...]
Magic: Everything is connected.

The angel explained it to Tal:
Everything is connected. Everything. It’s like when you draw your saliva-coated fingers apart, and that string of saliva stretches between them. But these threads never break – they only draw thinner and finer, impossibly thin and fine. You are connected to everything. To the other [...]

When Coera was ripped from Baod, he was left with a Coera-sized and -shaped hole. He maintains the hole, with the intent of someday returning her as his beating heart and engine.
When Eva was created – in the general shape of Zehn-Mehr – by the masters of brotherly harmony, Chomir and Sensihr – she was [...]

The Mythology of Lil
Before there was Coera, Lil was a trickster goddess. Along with Adam, she was among the countless children of Zhen-Mehr (she was actually a second generation – her grand-daughter). She was a mind of minor power and output, but because of her unusual quality of inscrutability and her practice of [...]
Eva is the mother

While Adam took on the role of the the Christ, Eva chose not to be his wife (which is why he eschewed a marriage while in the flesh), but his holy mother. She emphasized the role, giving it an unprecedented importance. As her child-husband would later say, “a prophet is not never welcome [...]

Mehr

Spirit encompasses and permeates all. It is not homogenous, but neither is it discrete. It is inexhaustible in supply, but not in variation. Spirit has flavor and emotion, feelings and impressions, as well as some character.
Mind can contain spirit and give it ethereal dimension, shape, and momentum. Mind is also exclusive – spirit that is [...]
Adam, Eva, and Lil

Adam and Lil were the children of Zehn Mehr, and were great allies of Patar-Ori during Epid Mehr’s Great Stroke against Baod.
Adam was a warrior-poet, created specifically for the war against Baod, but created to have a conscience. He was a champion of the smaller gods, and a favorite of the greater. He led the [...]

Baod is the greatest of the Pentiad, especially after consuming Endatish (who was later resumed, but not after losing much self to Baod).
Baod, most of all, desired to please Mehr and emulate Mehr. And Mehr was very pleased by Baod, but Baod desired more and more of Mehr’s attention, and did not receive all of [...]
Prhua

Prhua saw both the fraternity of Chomar and Sensihr and the mentoring relationship between Epid Mehr and Zhen Mehr, and created a pair of minds, both female, and the first male. She could not create another like Mehr for her female, nor would she desire it, but she desired complimentary differences which Chomar and Sensihr [...]

Couroth (Courothei), the Worm god

Couroth is a god of death. Once a hound of Baod, Couroth was blinded in the battle surrounding the siege of Baod that produced Coera. He hovers around Coera in her shadow, devouring the souls of those who die and become lost. Courothei is his female form. Patar-Ori and his servants protect the souls of [...]
The Creation of Coera

Once the war between Baod and the alliance of Zhen-Mehr and Sensihr and Chomar in high carnage, and many minds had been consumed or unminded to be re-created, Mehr devised a plan which Zhen-Mehr liked much. At this time Baod had begun using the dimension of energy to control the minds who were not as [...]
Controlled Evolution is hidden from Humanity

When the demigods or elves took Coera into their keeping, and shaped the emergence of life, they guided the evolution of plants and animals to create diversity and wonder, but also to create an animal in their image, both physically and mentally. This control over evolution extends far beyond the breeding practices used by people, [...]

Adam stared up at the new light in the sky. It was the corpse, the tomb, of his stilled wife, Lilith, just as the ground he stood on had been the beating heart of her wicked master. Lil’s treachery would not soon be forgotten in his mind, but their children were of the world – [...]
